I get a message reading 'session appears to have timed out'. Why is this happening?

The problem may be that your cookie settings are incorrect. This may have been disabled for privacy reasons. This can easily be changed in Firefox or Internet Explorer. If you are unsure of how to proceed, please either consult the help files for your application or contact your IT department.

You may also experience these problems and shorter session times if the time and date settings on your computer are not correct. This is due to a security feature of the site. To avoid experiencing these problems, or if you have already encountered them, please make sure that the time and date on your computer's system clock are correct. To do this in Windows, double click the clock in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen and check/change your settings accordingly.
