“We subscribed to the 7302/7317 on SmartScreen in order to get up-to-date information on developments with the course and to be able to access the course documentation online. It has proved to be a very useful for tutors as a source of information.
I find the online course forms and some of the support materials for 7302 particularly useful and the video footage on Professional Discussion is useful for the A & V awards.
For learners, it’s been a great support tool. It forms part of a generally blended approach to supporting candidates, and has made this easier. Just being able to access materials easily rather than depending on tutors to supply these is great for my students.
The resources on SmartScreen certainly encourages learners to use an online facility, which some of them may not have done in their normal approach to completing an award. This saves tutor time and gives learners more of a sense of responsibility for managing their assignments, which in turn boosts their motivation levels.
The site is very well laid out and accessible and the site is user-friendly”.
